Denotation- The dictionary definition 

Connotation- The deeper meaning- what we associate with the word.

1 Gun-danger,death,noise,greif

2 Guns are normally dark resulting in misery and darkness which could lead to death....

1 A clown denotes entertainment, colour, humor

2 They can be funny because of there popping out colours and their humor But can also be scary from stories ect... maybe because of their laugh and big devious smile

1 Thor the god of thunder, loved by people and is also god of laws, lives in the highlands called Asgard Instead of Misgaurd.

2 Powerful looking, shows strength, bravery and loyalty. The colour red would be on his clothes showing the colour of royalty and popularity.
