Corpse Bride

Corpse Bride was a film made in 2005 and was directed by the famous Tim Burton. Tim Burton is known for his adventure thrilling novels and films. Tim burton's Animation style is original and creepy  which can be recognised easily from the animation. His films have an eerie atmosphere but can be emotional at times and have a deep moral for the film.

The main Characters of the film Are Called : Victor Van Dort ( Johnny Depp ), Emily  ( Helena Bonham ), Victoria. ( Emily Watson ). 

At the beginning of the story Victor is practicing for his arranged marriage in the woods,because his parents want money from the Everglot family who's daughter will marry Victor. As victor after clumsily messed up his wedding vows in the church he runs away to practice in the woods. As he puts the ring on a twig and says his vows, the twig moves and out from the ground emerges Emily the 'Corpse Bride ' and whisks Victor away to the land of the dead.

Victor feels bad for Emily after she told him what happened to her on her wedding day ( she got killed ), so he says that he will stay with her and both get married, although their love is unrequited. Whilst Victoria and her family in the land of the living are looking for Victor, a man who is very wealthy  called Barkis plans to marry Victoria but their love is unrequited as well since he is the bad guy of the film. Victor and Emily go to the land of the living to get married but it will only work if Victor drinks poison to die so he can be with Emily. Victoria runs away and see's her love, Victor, she stops him and Emily see,s that they are made for each over and the man Victoria was about to marry barges in, Emily saw that he was her ex-fiance who killed her on her wedding day so Emily, Victor and Victoria trick him into drinking the poison and Victor and Victoria who love each over gets married and Emily dies from heartbreak

The most important parts of the story :

. The part where Emily drags Victor to the land of the dead.

. When Victor and Victoria gets married to another person instead of each over.

. When they kill Barkis ( the bad guy ) 

Toddrov :

Equilibrium : Victor and Victoria Plan to get married

Disruption : Victor gets whisked away to the land of the dead.

Recognition of disruption : The Everglot and Dort family agreed to let Victoria to marry Barkit.

Attempt to solve disruption : Emily, Victor and Victoria gang up on Berkit

New equilibrium :  Victoria and Victor get happily married and Emily vanishes ( she turns dead-dead )

 

Protagonist : Victor

Antagonist : Barkis 

The story is about the relationship between Victor and Vicoria and Emily.

Prop

The hero : Leads the narrative, has a question or has to solve something and wants to succeed ( Victor )

The Villain : Enemy with the hero wants to destroy hero or something/one else.( Barkis )

The Donor : Gives the hero to help them with whatever they're doing to save the day ( Emily )

The Helper : Either helps the hero or villain can go either way ( Parents of Victoria )

 Barkis is also the false hero.

Victor is chasing after Victoria whilst Emily is chasing after Victor.
